Welcome!
This site is about the ongoing construction of my Van's RV-9A experimental/homebuilt aircraft.
When I decided to build a kit plane, I started looking for a two seater aircraft that was fast, economical, and relatively easy to build.
After doing quite a bit of research, my choice was Van's Aircraft's RV series.
Being not particularly interested in aerobatics, I decided to go with the RV-9A model. I liked everything that I found out about the plane!
It's a clean, fast, stable, easy to build, fun aircraft. The pre-punched kit available is perfect for first time builders like me with no prior metal working experience.
Its good stability, roomier cabin, and usable weight makes it ideal for cross country flights, whereas lower stall speed and shorter landing roll makes it that much safer.
All in all, it sounded perfect for my kind of flying.
I am currently building the plane and documenting my progress on this website. Click on the links in the top menu to check out the construction details as well as other related information.
I hope you will find it informative & entertaining!
